Muse Poetry & Music Open Mic at The Workman’s Club. My Heart will go on!

An Open Mic celebration of love in every form, for everyone: in passion as in post nup, in loss as in lifeboat, in total eclipse or just a bit achy breaky.

In The Vintage Room

Muse Open Mic to be held on Sunday 14th February 2016 from 7 to 9.30pm, upstairs in the Vintage Room at The Workman’s Club. Muse Open Mic provides a showcase for poets, musicians, singers, actors and prose writers to perform new and original material in a supportive environment. As each performer is limited to three minutes per slot, Muse Open Mic is always entertaining, occasionally thought-provoking and never dull. A raffle will be held on the evening with all funds raised going to Peter McVerry Trust. Founded by Fr Peter McVerry, this charity was set up to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage.

Founded by poet and musician Orla Martin in 2006, the artistic mission of the event has a dual purpose, to provide an informal platform for artists to perform while promoting public access to the arts. Admission is free and all are welcome, divas and entourage alike. Presenting an eclectic variety of art forms has been vital for the series and past performances have included storytelling, dramatic monologues and even some drum ‘n’ bass.

Admission is free and all are welcome. For more information or if you wish to enquire about performing or attending the event, please see below contact details.
