Men I Trust is an indie band from Montreal (Canada) composed of Jessy (bass/ guitar), Dragos (keyboards) and Emma (vocals/ guitar). With smooth, chin-bouncing rhythms & bass lines, warm guitars and alluringly subdued vocals, longevity – in all its forms – is an underlying theme in their craft. At its most spacious, listening to Men I Trust feels like you’re gliding on a never-ending wave; at its tightest, they still provide pockets of time to catch your breath.
Men I Trust will release their third full-length album in early 2019
Praise for Men I Trust
“Men I Trust’s effervescent pop splits the difference between ornate classic pop and chilled-out dance- floor fodder, for a sound that sands down every possible rough edge. In this case, that’s a good thing: The band’s slippery-smoothness is a big part of its slyly bouncy, easygoing, stress-free appeal.” – NPR
“relaxed, groove-hazy single ‘Show Me How’… it’s the latest in a line of stellar singles from Montreal DIY dreampop outfit” – The FADER
“The band now has a catalog of luscious melodies, groovy basslines and soft, delicate vocals, that stands out among the thousands of guitar-toting indie bands of their ilk. ” – i-D
“Montreal group Men I Trust‘s most recent single ‘Tailwhip’ is a perfect song, a stylishly understated indie-dance-pop track with an irresistibly velvety groove, a magical, infectious melody, and poignant, casually profound lyrics that are impossible to shake…If you asked me today for the best song of 2017, that’s the one.” – Gorilla vs. Bear
“Men I Trust make gentle, danceable dreampop…they dropped a series of increasingly confident digital singles last year, most recently the lovely ‘I Hope to Be Around.’” – Brooklyn Vegan
“Men I Trust is an indie band from Montréal making smooth tunes ideal for getting groovy on the dance floor of a grungy dive bar” – MTV
