Anenome

Introducing Anenome, Dublin based two piece expanding the boundaries of folk/rock music. Clara Webster and Lily Brodie Hayes use rich arrangements and layered vocals to evoke powerful emotions in their music, connecting people to each other on the basis of an honest shared human experience. Drawing from influences such as PJ Harvey, Lankum, SWANS, Katie Kim and Keeley Forsyth, they reach beyond what we have already heard and make something new.

They see the release of their EP Human Remains on the 20th of September 2024 and this launch gig will see them perform the music as never before as they expand their sound. We will see instruments including harmonium, bayan, viola and MS20 synth to build vivid drone-based soundscapes with guitar, percussion and cajon adding gripping rhythms. Opening up the night we will have the exciting rhythms of drummer Jason McNamara and the moving sounds of Elaine Malone’s Mantua.
