The Workman’s Club
Badger Hill play The Workman’s Club on Tuesday 24 November as a final gig before entering the studio to record their third EP. While preparing for this gig, they have also been preparing for the studio over several pre-production sessions with Bill Shanley from the prestigious Cauldron Studios. This night will showcase the recently-perfected new material, and will feature support from Rachael Lavelle.
Formed in Spring 2012 in Dublin, Badger Hill was built around the 3-part vocals of Geoff Allen, Bobby Keating and Dave Costello. A year later, they were joined by bassist Conor Tiernan and drummer Stephen Pigot, bringing a big instrumental sound to match the powerful vocals.
In 2014, they released two successive EPs, both recorded with Hozier producer Stuart Gray at Jealoustown Studios. Their second EP, Plans, saw them to No. 1 on iTunes and was launched to a near sell-out gig at the Main Stage in Whelan’s.
