Cathal Dowd, a musician from Killorglin, is launching his debut album “Friendly Shores” this year. As part of his tour of Ireland & the UK, Cathal is coming to The Workman’s Club on Saturday, Oct 21st 2017.
Cathal is a folk inspired musician who paints honest pictures of his life with an acoustic guitar and punchy vocals.
His musical influences range from Paul Simon to Newton Faulkner, and he blends a unique open string tuning with thought provoking lyrics to create an exciting sound. One that welcomes you in with a cuddle and buys you a whiskey.
