ADAM O’RUA
One of the most exciting emerging artists popping out of the recent renaissance in the Irish creative scene, Adam O’Rua is one of those rare virtuosos that seems to bring a bit of everything to his craft. Singer. Songwriter. Dancer. Producer. DJ. Filmmaker. You name it.
2022 saw the release of debut EP ‘EVA’, celebrated with a stellar headline at The Sound House that brought together musicians, singers, rappers and dancers for a spectacle not often seen in Dublin.
Accompanied by a full 5-piece band Adam O’Rua’s live shows are an enthralling mix of tantalising, entertaining (and often hilarious) improvised songs, smooth and soulful R&B ballads and a level of on-stage dance performance and charisma that have earned him comparisons to Justin Timberlake and Usher from the Irish media hot on the trail of this burgeoning talent.
With multiple London and Dublin shows under his belt (The Fiddler’s Elbow, Camden; The Monarch, Camden; The Islington, Angel; The Grand Social, Dublin; The Sound House, Dublin) and support from BBC Radio 1X, Today FM, FM104, Colourful Radio, Nando’s MX and more, 2023 sets the stage for the next chapter of Adam O’Rua’s career to unfold.
ANIKE AKANO
With a smooth and fervent sound that effortlessly combines elements of R&B, folk, and indie pop, Anikẹ Akano – at just 18 years old – is already making a name for herself in the music industry with her soulful vocals, magnetic charisma and heart-wrenching lyricism.
Releasing her much-anticipated debut single ‘Passing By’ this week on Friday, November 3, Anikẹ’s unique blend of eloquent melodies and harrowing lyrics is certain to capture hearts – leaving listeners eager for more. The young and emerging artist’s vocals and introspective songwriting create a poignant atmosphere that invites listeners to reflect on their experiences and confront their own emotions.
TARA DEVI
A Slovene, Dublin based R&B musician with a soulful voice that strikes at the heart of emotions, Tara Devi weaves her personal journey into music, creating a symphony of feelings that resonate with us all. Her unique look is a visual manifestation of her artistry, a testament to the authenticity and creativity that defines her as a true artist. Tara doesn’t just sing, she bares her soul, and in doing so, she becomes a beacon of empowerment and self-expression in the world of music.
