We are mega-excited to announce that awesome comedian Gearóid Farrelly will bring his unique brand of chatty standup comedy to The Workmans Club on Thursday, 31st May!
This show will address everything from Trump to decluttering and explain why you shouldn’t toilet train a cat.
He is a regular at Irish festivals including the Vodafone Comedy Festival, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Electric Picnic, Halloween Howls, Galway Comedy Festival and is a regular touring support to some of the country’s top names and supported comedy royalty, the late Joan Rivers, on her tour of Now or Never in Dublin and the UK.
He has just completed an Irish tour with Neil Delamere and is currently supporting Sarah Millican on a number of her UK tour dates.
Gearóid Farrelly’s comedy career got off to a flying start in 2008, when in the space of a few short weeks he was a finalist in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Festival and winner of Bulmers Nuthin Butt Funny Newcomer competition at the Bulmers Festival in Dublin. He made his solo debut at the Edinburgh Fringe with his show Turbulence, receiving critical acclaim and 5 star reviews and has had three solo runs there.
Need LOLZ on the regular? His podcast “Fascinated” has just started it’s fifth season. In each episode Gearoid dives into his CD collection and finds out what happened to his childhood heroes.
Gearoid is also the regular host of the Headstuff Lecture series which takes place each month in the Workmans Club. Each show comprises of six lectures from familiar faces about things they love.
