Gigonometry “Where lovers of live music meet”.
Another special line-up up of varied and impressive acts will grace the stage for our May 14th show; the inimatable genius of Clockwork Orchestra make their only Irish appearance this year before embarking on an extensive European tour, newcomers ADMISSIoN bring their early REM influenced alt/rock sound to the big stage, and The Starling Army prove that starlings not only sing sweet tunes, but can spit in your face whilst doing so.
The creators of one of the finest albums that we’ve come across in a very long time (2014’s A Fish for a Heart), Clockwork Orchestra is the work of multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and recording engineer Paul Mangan.
Synthpunk odysseys and blissful waltzes that bounce along like deranged woodland animals are just two of the strings to Clockwork Orchestra’s very strange bow. Paul Mangan’s Clockwork Orchestra is not an Orchestra at all in fact, but rather a madcap songwriter and synthesizer strangler from Ireland on a warpath of imagination, hell bent on bewildering and beguiling the music going masses of Europe with an array of carousel organ melodies, Dr Seuss lyricism and chaotic guitar riffs.
Formed in September 2014, ADMISSIoN are an international four piece band with a fresh and energetic sound. From their studio base in Dublin, they are currently writing and demoing songs in the lead up to therelease of their debut EP. Made up of members with experience in previous projects; some of which included slots in The Olympia, The Academy, Sea Sessions and Indiependence, ADMISSIoN are excited to welcome audiences to experience their music.
The Starling Army
The Starling Army formed in June 2013 when Andy Radley and Owen Ford got together to write some original tunes, soon to be joined by Mark Doherty and Aden Hamill. They released their first single ‘Dog Happy ‘ in 2013, followed by ‘Starling Army Song’ and ‘Stuck In A Cage’ in 2014. The Starling Army are a four piece Alternative Rock band that have found their sound and will be releasing an album later in 2015. They also record , mix and master both their songs and videos independently. Here comes ‘The Starling Army’……..
