Montauk Hotel
Montauk Hotel are a shimmer-pop act based in Dublin. Taking influence from the glimmer of early 80s indie-pop, Montauk Hotel have fused strong melodies with glistening guitars to create a sound that is their own.
Formed in late 2016, Montauk Hotel are made up of Claudia Verdecchia (vocals), Shell Dooley (guitars), Aoife Hester (bass) and Karima Dillon-El Touhky (drums).
Montauk Hotel made an impressive impact on the Dublin live music scene in 2016 with shows including The Last Mixed Tape’s Lost Tapes series, The Sound House, The Bowery, Whelan’s and Sin E and supporting acts such as Paddy Hanna, Beauty Sleep, Jem Mitchell and Odu.
Their debut single ‘Black Dress’ was released in late January to critical acclaim. Montauk Hotel launched their E.P. on March 10th with a sold-out show in Whelans, Dublin.
“Dripping in metallic guitar vibes and early ‘80s indie pop, ‘Black Dress’ is a charming melodic opening gambit” – Nialler9, New Irish Artist of the Week – The Irish Times
“A gorgeous jangly pop noise” – Hot Press
“…a highly stylised record filled with vivid flourishes of brilliance that set the four-piece apart… Leaving them in their own shimmer-pop milieu” – 9/10, The Last Mixed Tape
“there’s a real earworming charm to the band’s streamlined, chorus-drenched jangle-pop” – The Thin Air
“Montauk Hotel is a fine debut… that show great promise so early on in their tenure as a band writing and recording music” – State Magazine

The Clockworks
Distilling the immediacy of The Strokes, the swaggering-danceability of The Stone Roses, the brio of The Libertines, and the wry social commentary of The Smiths, The Clockworks are putting the small town of Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland, on the map. The Clockworks have already proven themselves as a band to get behind with a series of well received live performances in Dublin and around the country.
“You’ll be hearing a lot more about The Clockworks” – Hot Press Magazine
“A band definitely on the verge of breaking through in 2017” – The Last Mixed Tape
“Far from being the typical hyperbole of a music press trying to jump on the “next big thing”, the praise with which The Clockworks were heaped was warranted” – Louder Than War (UK)
“Ireland’s next big thing” – Outcast Magazine
“a song as lyrically sharp in its social observation as it is keen in its uncluttered and tenaciously inventive sound.” – Ringmaster Review (UK)
“There’s swagger, charm, pleasure and an instantly noticeable individuality about this Galway band” – Remy’s Music and Film Blog
“a 90’s/early 2000’s indie/rock feel to it. And with witty, ironic anecdotes reminiscent of The Streets and The Arctic Monkeys…A band with big dreams and a wry look on life has to go far.” – Musician.ie
“Hop on the bandwagon now, and check them out on some of the smaller shows they’re playing this summer before you have to queue up for their sold out shows.”- Echoing Stem
Silent Interlude
Silent Interlude are an Indie Ambient band based in Dublin. Formed in 2015 the band are breaking new ground by combining elements from genres including Indie Rock, Soft Rock, Alternative and Ambient to create a unique sound. The band gained traction on the Irish scene with the release of their debut EP ‘Fate Or Faith’. Silent Interlude have played in some of the best venues in Dublin, including a headline show in Whelans, and a spot at Electric Picnic 2015 after only 8 months together. This momentum would carry them on to win the final of the coveted King Kong Club.
After a quiet start to 2016 to write new material and record an album, the band are returning with a more diverse sound which is featured below in the lead single: Glances.

Davie Furey
Fusing traditional roots with contemporary folk and rock, Davie Furey’s sound is characterized by storytelling, energy and guitar riffs that beat like a pulse. Citing Christy Moore, Luke Kelly, Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins as a diverse cross-section of influences, Davie has drawn on a wide range of inspiration while crafting his own sound. His current offering, an eleven track album entitled ‘Easy Come, Easy Go‘ follows a well received 2009 album ‘Out of Your Arms’.
Davie’s knack for telling a story through song and his ability to engage a crowd have won him support slots with the likes of Glen Hansard, Damien Dempsey, Josh Ritter, John Spillane and Luka Bloom. Still, despite having toured for six years, there is an air of excitement that runs through his latest release, a tangible feeling that this is an artist who has come into his own.
