Motions
Motions are an alternative rock band based in Dublin formed by Tom Daly and Dave Nulty. With powerful vocals accompanied by minimalist textures and driving guitars, their sound ranges from shimmering soundscapes to anthemic rock. 2016 saw the release of their well- received debut single ‘Back To Where I Begun’ drawing attention worldwide with major industry interest in the UK & US. The band have just released their second single ‘All I’ve Ever Known’ which centres around the traces left behind after losing someone close to you.

Empathy
Citing bands such as Placebo and Interpol as their influences, 4-piece alternative rock outfit Empathy have been heralded as “kitchen sink music for the new generation” by U&I Magazine. After the success of their first headliner show of 2017 in Whelan’s in May, the band are looking forward to a busy summer of performing on the Dublin gig circuit, starting with this Gigonometry outing!

Saramai
Drawing influences from The Blue Nile, Beach House and Low, ‘Saramai’ are Kells based husband and wife duo, Saramai Leech and Cormac O’Keeffe. ‘We had to learn how to write together. It sounds strange but helping someone write a song or giving your opinion is not really the same as actually writing together.’ They are currently working on a full length album.
Heralded by Nialler9, The Irish Times and Hotpress they have extensive performance experience across Ireland and more recently in the UK. Live TV and radio performances include Other Voices RTE, Arena Arts, Today FM and more.
Having popped up on the likes of Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices last year, Co. Meath duo Saramai straddle a wonderfully inviting line between longing chamber pop and straight-up balladry. – Brian Coney, The Thin Air
This Meath [duo’s] new single moves between chamber pop, piano ballads and a grandeur that most acts can’t reach..’ – Nialler9
The Poet Geoff
Geoff is a Dublin based poet whose work focuses on the minute beauty of life, as well as the darkness that enraptures the soul. He has recently returned as the poet of the Back To Basics tour, which toured around the country with three independent musicians.
Geoff had recently been chosen as part of the ‘What’s The Story’ writers think-tank with Colm Keegan, which centres around life in the Liberties and will end with a performance in The Tivoli Theatre in July. He was also recently published by Langan Publishing as part of the Irish Poetry Day celebrations for his poem ‘Notes On Junkies Dancing In St Kevin’s’.
