Born and raised in Pittsburgh, corook spent their formative years honing their craft at a performing arts high school and, later on, Berklee College of Music. After relocating to Nashville in their early twenties, they began posting snippets of their songs on social media. Corook burst onto the scene in 2021 with their infectious alt-pop song “Sims.” The single garnered millions of streams. “Sims” was also a part of their 2022 debut EP Achoo.
Achoo included hits such as “IDK God” and “Bad Friend.” Following the success of the EP two more singles titled “BDSM” and “It’s OK” were released later that year. The viral hit “If I Were a First” appeared in 2023. This insightful track was written in response to comments they were receiving online. The fun track was written in collaboration with Olivia Barton. This charming song was a huge success and is part of their latest project Serious Person (Part 1).
