Lydia Ford is a pop artist originally from Co. Mayo, in Ireland. At the age of 9, she picked up the guitar, inspired mainly by her adoration of pop-punk star Avril Lavigne. From there, she began writing and developing her own songs in her bedroom.
She has received national airplay in Ireland and performed at prestigious events such as Other Voices, but this enigmatic artist also has some international reach. There has been support from major US sites such as Uproxx and Billboard, UK airplay on BBC radio, and additions to global Spotify playlists including New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday Deutschland and sync placement on E4’s Made In Chelsea.
Currently based in Berlin, Ford continues to collaborate with producers and songwriters from around the world, allowing her to articulate shades of indie, dance, a twist of folk and more typical singer-songwriter through her kaleidoscopic pop lens.
