A statement from San Fermin
Friday evening, after our show in London, we heard about the tragic events unfolding in Paris. We watched in horror as updates came in about the massacre at Bataclan Concert Hall. Then yesterday, as we were about to board the Eurotunnel en route to our show at Botanique, our manager called with the news that several people associated with the attacks had been arrested in Brussels, where they were believed to have planned the massacre. After a conversation with the band, we have made the decision not to continue our European tour. The combination of risk and uncertainty surrounding our upcoming shows makes it too difficult— it just feels wrong for the band to continue during this time of turmoil and mourning. It is with a heavy heart that we head home today. We’re so sorry to our fans who bought tickets and we promise to make up these shows to you guys at an appropriate time.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the people of Paris who were affected by this horrible tragedy.
