The Workman’s Club presents
6th Birthday Party
The Workman’s Club
Wednesday, 5 October
Every Wednesday at The Workman’s Club we fling open our doors for Somewhere?, Dublin’s best un-kept secret. Hundreds of you join us each week as our awesome DJs belt out the best alternative tunes, indie anthems, hip hop, r&b, house and disco over 2 floors. But, on Wednesday, 5 October we have something EXTRA special for you beautiful people. We’re throwing our 6th birthday party. Yup, we’re 6 years old! Like any self-respecting 6 year old, we want to put on the best party in town, and so that’s what we’re gonna do.
We are so proud to have been around for 6 years, it’s an amazing achievement for any club night, and we’re even more thrilled that 2016 has been our most successful year to date! We’re picked up a few ‘Best Clubnight In Ireland’ awards (2013-2014) as voted by Nialler9 readers along the way, too.
We couldn’t do it without you – the faithful masses who come by our gaff every Wednesday to dance, laugh and have the craic. So let us tell ya what we’ve got in store for you on our birthday!
As always, upstairs on the night, Trev & Co, will be belting out the best in Alternative Tunes, Indie Anthems, Psychedelic Sounds and Manchester Bands. Expect Fat White Family to Girl Band, Tame Impala to Arctic Monkeys, Super Furry Animals to Brian Jonestown Massacre, Joy Division to Stone Roses. Downstairs,Niall D’arcy aka Deece will also be playing the best in Hip-Hop, R&B, House and Disco.
In addition to our deadly regular DJs, we’re giving you a VERY special present. Unwrap it and inside you’ll find OLUBENGA from the amazing amazing very amazing METRONOMY. He’ll be joining the residents on the decks and we know he’s got some special bag o’ tunes to unleash upon you.
Here’s the scoop: Doors at 11pm. €5 admission.
Oh, and if you ask veeeerrry nicely at Somewhere? Wednesdays at The Workman’s Club on Facebook, the team might just put you on the cheap list!
It’s our party and we don’t plan on crying so come celebrate with us. Did we tell you we love you?
