An evening to share stories and enthusiasm about speaking the Irish language.
Events will include;
A screening of the award winning documentary ‘Grá & Eagla’, a story which follows comedian Áine Gallagher as she embarks on her journey to perform bilingual comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, encounters her fears of fluent speakers, and develops new insights in what it means to be an ‘Irish speaker’.
Darach O’Sheaghdha of the book and podcast Motherfoclóir and twitter handle @theirishfor, will share excerpts from his new book ‘Craic Baby’ and enlighten us in how to make the Irish language interesting and fun.
Plus other guests and panel discussion to explore what being an Irish speaker means in modern Ireland, and how more people can be encouraged to speak our native language.
In association with Bliain na Gaeilge and BLOC TG4.
Doors 7.30pm.
