THE ROB STRONG BAND IN CONCERT with Special Guest Niamh Strong

The legendary  Blues/Soul singer Rob Strong returns with his band to The Workman’s Club Dublin on Sunday 21st November 2021 after a fabulous reaction to his two shows there for the launch of his biography  in September. Rob was then joined on stage by his lifelong friend Pat Farrell from The Business Blues Band while musicians such as Niall Power (Bob Geldof Band) and Richie Malone (Status Quo) recalled many memorable moments of Rob’s career, which has spanned an amazing 60 years on the road.

The band’s show at the Workman’s will  feature some of Ireland’ s finest musicians , including  Sean Behan on lead guitar, Cormac Crowley on drums, Niamh Strong on vocals, Salvatore Urbano on keyboards and Rob himself on lead vocals and bass guitar. Here are what his peers say about Rob Strong:-

‘Rob Strong is unique. He is incredibly talented. In my opinion he is the best Blues or Soul singer to ever come out of Ireland. His innate gift is his voice and his timing is incredible’ COLM WILKINSON

Seeing Rob Strong with the Plattermen in the late ‘60s was a big influence on me. To hear a fellow Northerner sing the soul music I loved so well, gave me a lot of confidence that one day I could find my own voice. Rob is one of the true originals!’ PAUL BRADY

“I think Rob is an incredible singer, an amazing talent. I just don’t understand how he hasn’t become much bigger worldwide!” MARY COUGHLAN

When I think of Rob Strong I think of a big voice doing Bluesy stuff with a raw edge. Rob Strong has a big engine and a great vocal range’ PHIL COULTER
