Loads of live music! Loads of DJs! Nothin’ Shnakey!

It’s like St Patrick planned it. Paddy’s Day is on a FRIDAY this year, so we all know what that means, amirite? It means you get to go out on Thursday night, check out some savage livebands, hear amazing DJs, treat yourself to some cold beers or cocktails at our place, have a lie in on Friday and then do it ALL OVER AGAIN. You know how much we love you, (mostly ‘cause we are always banging on about it) so as always, we are charging NO EUROS at the door. Free entry for all. It’s what St Patrick would have wanted.

Here’s the scoop:

On Thursday, 16 March we’re kicking off at 7:30pm in the Main Venue, with live music from 8 bells.  First up, 4 piece rock band from Dublin, Vicious Fishes, bringing raw jungle, afro, new wave, punk ass blues rock hip- pop styles straight into your earholes! Next, prepare to be blown away by the outlandish psychedelic space rock sounds of Free Sunshine Acid. Following that, expect an ethereal, mammoth wall of sound from epic band Sun Mahshene, lead by Nathan Henderson, who boast an arsenal of three guitarists to maximum effect. Finally, we’ve got 5-piece band Beach hitting the stage. These guys have created a unique blend of psychedelia infused with elements of electronica, and slacker rock, with visuals. ‘..let Beach lull you with their drowsy dark-gilded creak-in-the-neck rock music.’’ Nialler9 ‘’Easily one of Ireland’s most unique new prospects. Beach’s meeting of dream-pop, shoegaze, and psych makes for an enthralling live set.’’ The Last Mixed Tape

Following the live music, we’ve got the chance for you to unleash yer inner singer and join in on the always-mega-craic- Workman’s Karaoke Club. Upstairs, we’ve got DJ sets from the finest spinners in the land. Up-Right, dance to house and disco tunes from Seany B (4Ward Grad) and Louche. Up-Left, move it to alternative tunes, psych sounds, Manchester bands and indie anthems from DJs Trev and Steven Gannon (Kid Karate).

Over at Garage Bar, the very deadly Gav Icon and Sam Morrissey will be furiously manning the decks from 10pm and making sure yer all up dancing. Plus, if you need refueling, don’t forget the INCREDIBLY tasty Bison Bar & BBQ – with over 100 different whiskeys and juicy, mouthwatering BBQ fare on offer you might never want to leave.

On to the day itself, so. Friday, 17 March we’re going ALL OUT. We’re flinging open our doors at 4:00 pm! Upstairs we’ve got a host of amazing DJs to take you right up until the wee hours of the morning. We’ve got sets from Colin Devine, Trev, Kelly Anne Byrne (Today FM) and Ronan Considine (Groovement Soul)

In the Main Venue (doors 7:30pm – music kicks off at 8pm) we’ve got a live line up that’ll make you cry. In a good way. 4-piece band Bodies make vocal led atmospheric guitar rock and have rightly been given the nod as Ones To Watch by folks in the know. Just Mustard will hit ya next. This 5 piece band combine influences from noise, shoegaze, trip hop, ambient electronic music and lo-fi . They are a formidable live act, keep yer eyes peeled for their debut LP in May. If reverb laden sounds, dramatic vocals, heavy guitars, electric synths and dancey drums take your fancy then you’re gonna love the next act, 5 piece band The Notas. Rounding off this awesome bill is The Fontaines. This Dublin band’s influenced by 80s  British alternative and rock and roll. They’ve been described by Louder Than War legend John Robb as ‘Rock’n’Roll so pure and thrilling, it sounds like a breath of fresh air.’

Following all our live music shenanigans in the Main Venue, we’ve got alternative tunes and indie anthems by DJs extraordinaire Tony Bones and Steve Gannon.

Don’t forget that if your body needs fuel, we are home to the juiciest, nicest, most delicious burgers in Dublin. WOWBURGER won’t disappoint you. They’ll be serving up burgers, golden fries and more from their bustling burger huts on our Terrace, too.

Over at Garage Bar, we’ll also have DJs from 4pm until the small hours – with sets from Ken Mooney (The Urges), Michelle Farley, Conor Lumsden (The #1’s), Robbie Brady (Exploding Eyes), This Other Kingdom DJs, Sam Morrissey, AJ Jenkinson and Rob Gilligan.

SOUND. You can’t say fairer than than that. Loads of music. All the craic. ZERO dough.
