Irish Act of the Year 2013 – The Irish Times
Choice Music Prize nominees Little Green Cars have announced their first dates of 2014 including their biggest headline show to date as they take over the exquisite surrounds of the city centre’s very own secret garden, The Iveagh Gardens. They also return to Cork and Galway where they played electrifying sold shows in the Roisin Dubh and The Pavilion.
The Dublin band enjoyed great success this year with their no #1 debut album Absolute Zero on Glassnote Records (Mumford & Sons, Phoenix) and a completely sold out run of Irish dates including two nights at Vicar Street. The band released three singles, The John Wayne, Harper Lee & My Love Took Me Down to the River to Silence Me to great acclaim and heavy radio coverage in Ireland. They were invited to perform at key American festivals Coachella and Lollapalooza as well trips to Australia and tours of UK, mainland Europe and North America and a guest spot on the Jimmy Fallon Show.

BLEEDING HEART PIGEONS
Bleeding Heart Pigeons have just recently burst back onto the scene, releasing their first new music in 18 months, ‘A Hallucination EP’, on August 21st via AMF Records and mesmerizing audiences at Latitude festival, Body & Soul festival and two packed London shows at the Old Blue Last and London Fields Brewery.
‘A Hallucination’ was “written in a post-teenage philosophical bender on solipsism,” explains singer and guitarist Mícheál Keating. “It’s a theory that nothing exists apart from your mind.” Teenagehood was not so long ago for the three piece from West Limerick, who first met around eight years ago, but only recently left their teenage years behind. Having signed a record deal whilst still in school and practising in a parent’s shed, it has taken considered time to put together the songs on the A Hallucination EP and their forthcoming, as-yet-untitled debut album, due early next year.
Alongside Keating, Bleeding Heart Pigeons comprises Brendan McInerney (drums and backing vocals) and Cathal Histon (synthesizers, sampling, percussion and backing vocals).
