This Sunday will see what is being heralded globally as ‘the best party celebrating the best tonic wine made by monks since 1897.’ It’s World Buckfast Day, and we at The Workman’s Club are proud to host an evening filled to the brim with Buckfast related craic.
First of all, hark at our selection of fine Buckfast cocktails. Sip on a Bucky Royale (Buckfast and prosecco). Sour fan? You’ll love our Bucky Sour (like a whiskey sour, but more Buckfasty) Tease your palate with a Bucky Negroni. Traditionalists will love the Buckfast by the Bottle – or just enjoy your Buckfast on the rocks.
What’s a World Buckfast Day without a load of serious tunes? That’s what we thought, so we’ve got some great entertainment on the cards.
Join our infamous Workman’s Club Karaoke. Clench that Buckfast cocktail tight, close your eyes and sing your heart out on The Workman’s Club Main Stage. This is a no-judgement zone. Great tunes, a bag load of mates and Buckfast in cocktail form? What’s not to like.
Don’t fancy taking to the stage? We’ve got our awesome Guilty Pleasure DJs spinning THE BEST guilty pleasure tunes from the 80s, 90s, 00 and nowsies.
We’ll have spot prizes – like some super-limited-edition Buckfast tee shirts. Win and be the envy of all yer pals. Plus, we’ve got tickets to LIFE Festival to give away, too.
